Hi Sandy/Gilly, website is now up in skelton form but people need to
remember to refresh the page in their browser if they get the old site straight
away - it's because their computer is buffering the page and not automatically
updating what they see, and I don't force the issue. As before, I really need
a GPS reading (eg. 50.4573N, 6.2341E) or at least a town trail, rather than
just an end town, as I'm finding it really hard to locate you without pouring over
maps - remember some of us are still working! Have a wonderful trip and
wishing you all the best. [Colin Opie] |

Dear Gill & Sandy, We are not too sure
when you are off but guess the announcement of a new Colin blog would suggest it is
imminent. Margie and I wish you many happy cycling miles together. I am
sure the Irish have a much pithier toast for the start of such a venture but we can
offer you the following: 1) May the hills flatten beneath your
wheels... and not the other way round 2) May your saddle sores be
ever so small and easily salved with Johnson's Baby Oil... or whatever else the
pair of you use to lubricate long evenings in a shared tent, and 3)
May the little rain that does fall on your endeavours be the soft gentle variety
that serves to cool fevered bodies as they toil over hot handle bars... or
whatever else you might be up to (see 2 above)We will be thinking of
you as we trek around Anglesey in early June and look forward to reading all about
your trip on the blog. Catch up with you when you are
back. Love and best Salaams, [Margie &
Stuart]

Hi Sandy and Gilly, I’m enjoying your ride vicariously as I lie here with
my leg in the air! I used to have a branch office in Den Helder and go there
once a month in the 70s so can picture the landscape - not unlike our run down the
Danish West coast towards the end of our Scandinavia NSCR leg Sandy - but minus the
pill boxes and giant dunes. The great thing is, it’s FLAT! However,
beware large numbers of naked Germans in the dunes as you head
North! Hope you found somewhere to stay on Texel and look forward to the
next thrilling installment. Ride safe! [Pat]

Dearly beloved, we gather here today to . . . oops! sorry! got carried away there.
Long and short of it is I still have some bitch of a lurgy and am slow on progress as a
result. However, well enough to be making a start, and getting up to date with the
site. Sincerest apologies, blame the Peruvians! Map is up to date and I'm getting the
messages, diaries and photos sorted bit by bit. Getting the daily text messages now
with positional updates, so that's handy, keep 'em coming. Hopefully you'll get more
encouraging messages during June once people realise the site is active again. Thinking
of you both and encouraged to hear the progress, and increasing lack of ball
scratching. [Colin] |

Hi Ma and Pa, Hope you are still going strong and the Germans are not pushing
you around too much. Lily would like to see a photo of you both on your bikes when
you can send a photo. She would like to know if you have a bike trailer. Here is
her message...........
